Community impact

Wild Isle Outrigger is building more than a paddling program, we’re creating lasting impact across Cape May County. By introducing youth ages 15–19 to outrigger paddling, ocean literacy, and teamwork, we’re helping young people develop confidence, discipline, and a deeper connection to the water.

Our programs play a vital role in shaping future ocean stewards and potential lifeguards, fostering skills that support both personal growth and community safety. Through inclusive, competitive opportunities, we ensure that every young athlete, regardless of background, has a place to learn, compete, and belong.

We’re also filling a major gap on the East Coast. Out of the 26 clubs within the East Coast Outrigger Racing Association (ECORA), youth paddling programs are extremely limited. Wild Isle is stepping forward to change that by offering accessible outdoor experiences that strengthen the health and vibrancy of our local community.
